We are looking for… a shining PR star

Based in the galaxy of Cockermouth, we are looking for a PR star to come and join our already sparkling One Little Bird universe.

We need a luminary: proactive and hardworking, as well as results-driven, organised and efficient. You will be a central part of our One Little Bird universe, working to deliver client work to an exceptional standard with meticulous attention to detail.

As part of your journey to stardom, you must have had experience in a PR role, be an excellent writer and be confident in your ability to work independently, creating and implementing campaigns from start to finish.

We are looking for a real fireball who isn’t afraid to get stuck in straight away.

Your must-have star qualities:

  • Working with autonomy for each of your clients
  • Generating relevant positive coverage that will make your clients shine
  • Providing sparkling support to your junior colleagues
  • Thinking up and actioning bright PR strategies
  • Identifying gleaming PR opportunities and trends, being ahead of the curve
  • Taking a whole view of a client’s offering and being able to advise confidently on what is going on in their universe
  • Independently managing last-minute requests and when necessary, crisis PR

Your splendid skills:

  • Proven PR-specific experience
  • Remarkable writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to balance a busy workload and prioritise efficiently
  • A good knowledge of the British press – both national and local publications
  • Superb organisational skills
  • Brilliant record keeping

Shopify/Ecommerce Web Developer

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at One Little Bird. We are looking for a talented Shopify/Ecommerce Web Developer to come and join our team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a thriving new B2B e-commerce platform with a diverse range of products, functionality requirements and backend integrations.

Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of backend and frontend development and be able to create rich, interactive solutions that fulfil our clients’ needs. You will be proactive, have incredible attention to detail and be a brilliant team player.

Candidates must have proven experience in Shopify development and should be extremely well-versed in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript languages. As always, we’re looking for someone energetic who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can really hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as One Little Bird’s resident Shopify expert
  • Developing and maintaining ecommerce websites
  • Generating custom Shopify themes, and altering pre-existing templates Collaborating to produce innovative and robust user experiences
  • Addressing client requests

Key skills and experience:

  • Must be proficient in Shopify platform front/backend development and styling
  • Have a good knowledge of best practices, new technologies and trends
  • Knowledge of UX and UI design would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in dealing directly with clients and providing great customer service
